What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a scientific system of diagnosis and treatment useful for both acute and chronic disorders. A primary tool against discomfort and disease, acupuncture is a powerful prophylactic measure to boost the immune system and maintain one's good health.

How does it work? As an energetic treatment, acupuncture moves Qi toward the point of homeostasis by removing blockages along pathways (meridians), repletions (excess Qi), or depletions (insufficient Qi). Thin-gauge, sterile disposable needles places at empirical points along specific meridians based on the diagnosis. The needles are the approximate thickness of two to three strands of human hair and are inserted at a depth of approximately 1/32 of an inch. Needles are left in place for 20 to 40 minutes. Usually people feel relaxed and uplifted following treatment. A state of euphoria may be achieved as natural endorphins are released into the bloodstream.

What is acupuncture good for?

How much treatment is necessary?
Frequency of treatment depends on your diagnosis. The average is 10 to 12 consecutive weeks for stabilization. Afterwards, a maintenance schedule is recommended.
