Secrets
of the Heart and Body
As we age, our bodies start wearing out. Poisons
and harmful chemicals are present in the air we breathe,
the water we drink, the food we eat, and even the
daily things we use that we give little thought to--paint,
aluminum pots and pans, antacids, etc. Our bodies
literally take in these poisons. The heart, which
pumps blood throughout the system, is likewise effected.
Unwanted metallic elements accumulate in the arteries,
leading to atherosclerosis, which itself leads to
heart attacks, strokes, senility and other degenerative
diseases. The elimination of these metallic elements
and toxins become an important preventative measure
for any potential heart and circulation problems,
and for maintaining good health.
What
is Chelation Therapy?
Chelation therapy is the intravenous infusion of Ethylene
Diamine Tetra Acetate(EDTA), a man-made aminoacid
that chelates (grabs) toxic metals from the bloodstream.
Its history goes back to Nobel Prize Winner Alfred
Werner, who first developed the theory of "co-ordination
compounds," what we now call "chelates"
(compounds which draw out metallic elements).
Chelation
Therapy: Its Role in Prevention
EDTA removes harmful metals from the body, such as
lead and aluminum; it removes unnecessary and harmful
calcium from soft tissues, blood vessel walls, joint
spaces and eyes (cataracts); it reduces iron and copper
in the blood, culprits in "free radical" damage, and
reverses plaque buildup in arteries. By cleansing
the entire vascular system, chelation therapy is one
of the best methods for "tuning-up" the body for optimal
performance and health. Risk of heart disease is dramatically
lessened.
Chelation
Therapy: Its Role For Persons with Heart Trouble
Chelation has been shown to effectively reverse the
symptoms of atherosclerosis and correct the major
underlying cause of arterial blockage. In fact, many
believe it is far better than drugs (which have unpleasant
and sometimes dangerous side-effects) and bypass surgery
(an invasive, sometimes unnecessary procedure that
can carry many risks).

A
Typical Session
To be most effective, EDTA is administered intravenously.
During the procedure the client sits in a comfortable
recliner, engaging in quiet conversation, watching
TV, listening to music or reading. The entire chelation
process usually lasts 1 1/2 hours and, if mandated
by an individual's particular problem, up to 3 hours.
Pricing
Schedule
Price is $110 per treatment. There are anywhere from
20 to 40 sessions (depending on how many chelation
treatments are necessary to fully clean and purify
the entire vascular system) at an estimated overall
cost of $2,000 to $4,000. Incidentally, bypass surgery,
which is a mechanical repair of only a small portion
of the arterial tree, costs anywhere from $45,000
to $60,000 or more.
The
Most Frequently Asked Questions about Chelation Therapy:
Is
chelation therapy safe? Chelation
therapy is one of the safest of medical procedures.
It is administered and monitored by a licensed physician.
Over 400,000 clients have received over four million
treatments in the last 30 years, proving the treatment
to be not only effective but safe.
Are
there any side effects? As
with many medical or drug therapies, side effects
are always possible, but these, if they do occur,
are minor: vein irritation, mild pain, headaches,
etc., and are easily controlled by adjusting the duration
and frequency of treatment, or by using other simple
measures. Even these side effects tend to diminish
after the first few treatments. Most patients, however,
experience few or no side effects.
Does
the treatment hurt? No.
When
will I start to feel the benefits of chelation therapy?
This
will vary according to the individual. Minor
health improvements occur almost immediately, while
major ones may take a few months. Some clients even
see dramatic results after a few weeks.
Can
anyone administer chelation therapy?
Only
a licensed physician (MD/DO) can administer chelation
therapy. Also, a licensed physician is always be present
during the entire chelation process.
Can
chelation therapy be used after bypass surgery?
Absolutely.
Many clients who have had one or more bypass procedures,
with little or no result, have benefited greatly from
chelation therapy.
Can
I stop taking chelation therapy anytime I want to,
or must I have all the treatments?
While
it is recommended that one take the whole series of
chelation treatments for optimal health and the complete
cleansing of the entire vascular system, a client
can take as many treatments as he or she wants and
stop at any time. Every treatment produces some benefit.
